NILE WOOL is a fabric trading house headquartered in Cairo, operating across Egypt, Syria, and Spain. We act as agents for leading Italian and European mills, bringing their finest wool, linen, cotton, silk, and cashmere into these markets.
Our work sits between the loom and the tailor's table. We select, import, and supply premium suiting and shirting — handling sourcing, samples, and delivery — so designers and factories can focus entirely on their craft.
Ali Hajjo began his career at fifteen, working in his family's business. Cloth was in the room before it was ever a career.
He moved into suit retail, studying first-hand which fabrics customers reached for, returned to, and remembered.
Each summer from 2023 he worked inside a suit factory — learning which fabrics truly perform in production, not just on the shelf. That same year he began studying in Barcelona, Spain.
In Bologna he began buying fabric from Drapers, and became their agent in Egypt — turning years of watching cloth into a business built on it.
After adding leading Italian houses — Drago, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Stylbiella, Lanitex — he founded NILE WOOL Co., an official house serving designers across the Middle East and Spain.
